This is a Hybrid Position in the Johnston, RI Office 
 
Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities
<ul><li>Work directly with General Counsel to coordinate Board matters including agendas, minutes, annual elections/appointments of Board Members, Board correspondence and other related matters.</li>
<li>Coordinate corporate audit responses to external auditors.</li>
<li>Manage enterprise-wide record retention and destruction schedules and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and overseeing implementation of legal holds to safeguard critical information during litigation and investigations.</li>
<li>Coordinate the intake and assignment of Department of Insurance complaints and regulatory data calls for response, ensuring timely responses, regulatory compliance, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.</li>
<li>Maintain liaison with outside counsel, monitor status of litigation, provide support for discovery requests, and serve as an assistant to Counsel as needed.</li>
<li>Perform legal research of statues, regulations and case law and prepare memorandum to Counsel.</li>
<li>Respond to telephone and written inquiries from insurance companies, attorneys, and insurance departments, assist in the resolution of problems.</li>
<li>Oversee the operation of insolvency and rehabilitation orders, maintaining liaison with Insurance Departments as needed.</li>
<li>Prepare insolvency reports under the supervision of the Counsel.</li>
<li>Coordinate annual Legal Services strategic plan.</li>
</ul>
 
Education 
Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a law related field or Associate&rsquo;s degree and paralegal training. Additional appropriate experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
 
 
Experience 
3 or more years of Paralegal experience required. Experience with on-line legal research services, spreadsheets, databases, word processing and project related software. Legal case management experience preferred. Residual market experience preferred. 
 
Skills/Knowledge
<ul><li>Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office productivity tools (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel) to manage work.</li>
<li>Demonstrated proficiency with legal research methods and procedures.</li>
<li>Effective problem-solving skills, including ability to analyze complex issues, find the root cause of the problem, and consider a wide range of alternatives before acting.</li>
<li>Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or individuals.</li>
<li>Ability to multi-task and demonstrate flexibility while maintaining attention to detail.</li>
<li>Demonstrate excellent organizational skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and interact professionally and effectively in a team environment.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to perform in cross-functional situations.

Salary Range: $63,100 - $100,700/$75,200 - $120,200 Annual. Actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; internal equity and other conditions of employment.
