<div>The <b>Aga Khan Agency for Habitat Pakistan</b> invites applications for the position of Site/Field Engineer - MEP at its Gilgit Office. The role entails the following key responsibilities and requires candidates to meet the criteria outlined below.<br>
<br>
<b>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</b><br>
<b>Site Supervision &amp; Execution</b><ul><li>
Supervise daily electrical works, including wiring, switchboards, distribution panels, earthing, lighting, and backup systems.</li><li>
Monitor plumbing and sanitary works, including piping, drainage, water supply, and installation of sanitary fixtures.</li><li>
Oversee installation of HVAC, firefighting, and mechanical systems where applicable.</li><li>
Ensure works are executed in accordance with the approved MEP drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.</li><li>
Coordinate MEP works with civil/structural activities to avoid conflicts or rework.</li></ul><b>
Quality Control</b><ul><li>
Inspect and verify incoming MEP materials against approved submittals.</li><li>
Monitor workmanship of contractors and technicians to ensure compliance with standards.</li><li>
Conduct basic on-site tests such as continuity, insulation resistance, and water pressure tests.</li><li>
Document non-conformities and immediately report them to the Supervisor for resolution.</li></ul><b>
Progress Monitoring &amp; Reporting</b><ul><li>
Maintain daily logs of MEP activities, including manpower, equipment, and material usage.</li><li>
Record completed work quantities for verification and contractor billing.</li><li>
Submit daily progress updates to the supervisor.</li><li>
Highlight delays, material shortages, or technical issues at the site level.</li></ul><b>
Health, Safety &amp; Environment (HSE)</b><ul><li>
Enforce electrical and mechanical safety practices at site.</li><li>
Conduct toolbox talks for workers regarding MEP-related hazards.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with AKAH&rsquo;s HSE policies and local codes.</li><li>
Promote safe handling of electrical equipment, pressurized systems, and plumbing works.</li></ul><b>
Coordination &amp; Communication</b><ul><li>
Supervise subcontractors and skilled workers during installation.</li><li>
Coordinate material deliveries and verify quantities received at the site.</li><li>
Support the Project Engineer (MEP) during inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.</li><li>
Consult with local stakeholders for smooth site operations when required.</li></ul><b>
Documentation &amp; Record-Keeping</b><ul><li>
Keep updated sets of approved drawings and instructions.</li><li>
Maintain records of inspections, tests, and commissioning activities.</li><li>
Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings for MEP systems.</li><li>
Support the preparation of interim payment certificates through accurate site measurements.</li></ul><b>
Capacity Building &amp; Support</b><ul><li>
Provide technical guidance to technicians, electricians, and plumbers.</li><li>
Share best practices on safe and efficient installation methods.</li><li>
Support training for operations and maintenance staff for installed systems.</li></ul></div>
</div><div><p><b>The requirements</b></p>
<div><b>QUALIFICATION &amp; EXPERIENCE:</b><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering with a minimum of 2&ndash;5 years of experience or DAE in Electrical/Mechanical with 5&ndash;7 years&rsquo; experience may be considered.</li><li>
Site-level MEP supervision for building construction projects.</li><li>
Experience in electrical systems, plumbing networks, firefighting systems, and HVAC installations.</li><li>
PEC registration for engineers is required.</li></ul><br>
<b>
PREFERRED SKILLS:</b><ul><li>
Strong knowledge of MEP codes, standards, and installation practices.</li><li>
Ability to interpret shop drawings and resolve on-site issues.</li><li>
Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP, MS Excel, and site-level reporting tools.</li><li>
Effective communication and coordination skills with contractors and workers.</li><li>
Strong observational and problem-solving abilities.</li><li>
