Promoting Equality, Inclusion, and Climate Responsibility
Employees of Aga Khan Foundation (AKF, Egypt) and Om Habiba Foundation (OHF) are expected to uphold and advance the organization’s core principles of equity, inclusion, and environmental responsibility in all aspects of their work.
This includes fostering gender equality and social inclusion, ensuring that both women and men have equitable access to opportunities, resources, and decision-making processes. OHF places particular emphasis on empowering women and girls through leadership development, economic inclusion, and meaningful participation in community and organizational structures. Addressing disparities and amplifying diverse voices are essential to achieving sustainable and transformative impact.
At the same time, all employees are expected to actively contribute to climate responsibility and environmental stewardship. This includes promoting sustainable practices, reducing environmental footprint, and supporting communities in adapting to climate-related challenges. OHF integrates climate resilience and sustainability across its programs—through initiatives such as climate-smart agriculture, resource management, clean energy, and community awareness.
