Job Description: Store Keeper
Position Overview
We are looking for a diligent and organized Store Keeper to manage our inventory of machinery, tools, and consumables. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the storage and distribution of resources, ensuring that all materials are accounted for and properly documented. They will play a crucial role in coordinating with suppliers and assisting the procurement officer in maintaining efficient inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Inventory Management:</li>
<li>Maintain accurate records of all items in the store, including machinery, tools, and consumables.</li>
<li>Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure stock levels are maintained and discrepancies are addressed promptly.</li>
<li>Material Requests:</li>
<li>Prepare and submit material requests for non-returnable and returnable items as needed.</li>
<li>Monitor stock levels and anticipate future inventory needs to avoid shortages.</li>
<li>Supplier Coordination:</li>
<li>Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of requested materials.</li>
<li>Track and manage delivery notes, confirming that received items match orders.</li>
<li>Documentation and Reporting:</li>
<li>Maintain organized documentation of inventory transactions, material requests, and supplier communications.</li>
<li>Report regularly to the Procurement Officer regarding stock levels, order statuses, and any issues that arise.</li>
<li>Safety and Compliance:</li>
<li>Ensure that all stored items are handled and stored in compliance with safety regulations.</li>
<li>Monitor the condition of stored equipment and consumables, reporting any damaged or expired items.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in inventory management or supply chain is a plus.</li>
<li>Proven experience as a Store Keeper or in a similar role and experienced in a contracting company.</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.</li>
<li>Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li>
</ul>
Working Conditions
<ul>
<li>This position may require lifting and moving heavy items.</li>
<li>Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.</li>
</ul>

Storekeeper

1. Duty Scheduling:
<ul>
<li>Develop and manage daily duty schedules for approximately 300 employees, ensuring optimal manpower allocation across various projects.</li>
<li>Monitor attendance and adjust schedules based on workload, employee availability, and project demands.</li>
</ul>
2. HR Coordination:
<ul>
<li>Address and resolve manpower grievances, acting as a liaison between employees and management to foster a positive work environment.</li>
<li>Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.</li>
</ul>
3. Vehicle and Duty Arrangements:
<ul>
<li>Coordinate transportation logistics, including the arrangement of vehicles for employee commuting and project-related transportation.</li>
<li>Collaborate with the garage to ensure timely maintenance and availability of vehicles, minimizing downtime.</li>
</ul>
4. Resource Management:
<ul>
<li>Work with the store and procurement teams to ensure the availability of necessary machinery, tools, and equipment for ongoing projects.</li>
<li>Monitor inventory levels and coordinate the timely procurement of supplies and equipment.</li>
</ul>
5. Communication and Reporting:
<ul>
<li>Maintain clear and effective communication with project managers, team leaders, and employees regarding schedules, grievances, and resource needs.</li>
<li>Prepare regular reports on manpower utilization, vehicle status, and equipment inventory for management review.</li>
</ul>
6. Compliance and Safety:
<ul>
<li>Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations related to manpower, vehicle usage, and equipment handling.</li>
<li>Promote a culture of safety and accountability among employees.</li>
</ul>
7. Continuous Improvement:
<ul>
<li>Identify opportunities for process improvements related to duty scheduling and resource management to enhance operational efficiency.</li>
<li>Implement best practices in HR coordination to improve employee satisfaction and retention.</li>
</ul>
8. Training and Development:
<ul>
<li>Assist in organizing training sessions for employees on safety procedures, operational protocols, and other relevant topics.</li>
<li>Support the development of employee skills and performance through feedback and coaching.</li>
</ul>
This role requires a proactive and organized individual with strong communication skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.
