About Our FamilyWe are a warm, multicultural Bay Area family with three children under five, looking for a long-term, live-in Bilingual Mandarin Nanny &amp; Educator.This role combines hands-on nanny responsibilities with early childhood teaching and Mandarin language exposure. We are looking for someone nurturing, reliable, organized, and experienced with babies, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.Mandarin is very important to our family. The ideal candidate is a native Mandarin speaker with at least conversational English.Our family travels frequently, both domestically and internationally. For smooth travel and employment, candidates should be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident and eligible for W-2 employment.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide warm, attentive care for three young children under five.</li><li>Support daily routines including meals, naps, diapering/potty learning, dressing, hygiene, and transitions.</li><li>Create a natural Mandarin-speaking environment through conversation, songs, books, play, outings, and activities.</li><li>Plan simple, age-appropriate learning activities that support language, independence, creativity, emotional development, and early academic foundations.</li><li>Design and deliver age-appropriate bilingual curriculum for children from infancy through early elementary ages.</li><li>Help manage children&rsquo;s schedules, supplies, clothing, toys, books, meals/snacks, laundry, and play areas.</li><li>Coordinate with parents and other caregivers to maintain consistent routines and communication.</li><li>Support occasional children-related family logistics, activities, events, and travel preparation.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>Native Mandarin speaker.</li><li>Conversational English is required; fluent English is highly preferred.</li><li>5+ years of professional experience as a nanny, educator, preschool teacher, or similar role.</li><li>Strong experience caring for infants, toddlers, and/or preschool-aged children.</li><li>Comfortable caring for multiple young children.</li><li>Open to a live-in role in the San Francisco Bay Area.</li><li>U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident; W-2 eligible.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license, clean driving record, and comfortable driving in an urban environment.</li><li>Strong references from prior families, schools, or employers.</li><li>Comfortable with hands-on childcare duties, including diapers, meals, children&rsquo;s laundry, tidying children&rsquo;s areas, and daily routines.</li><li>Organized, active, discreet, professional, and comfortable around small dogs.</li><li>Comfortable with occasional domestic or international family travel.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Background in Early Childhood Education, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, child development, or elementary education.</li><li>Experience in a preschool, Montessori school, daycare, elementary school, or other formal educational setting.</li><li>Prior live-in experience with a private family.</li><li>Experience caring for multiple young children.</li><li>CPR certification and pediatric first aid training.</li><li>Familiarity with Positive Discipline, Conscious Discipline, Montessori methods, or similar child-centered approaches.</li></ul>Compensation &amp; Benefits<ul><li>$120K&ndash;$140K, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and schedule.</li><li>Paid time off.</li><li>Paid sick leave.</li><li>Live-in accommodations.</li><li>Relocation assistance for the right candidate.</li><li>W-2 employment.</li><li>Travel expenses covered during family trips.</li><li>Long-term stability with a warm, respectful, and engaged family.</li></ul>How to ApplyInterested candidates should attach their CV and answer the screening questions below. About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced, highly organized Family Personal Assistant to support a busy private household in the San Francisco Bay Area.This is a long-term role, beginning at approximately 20 hours per week for the first few months. The schedule will likely include 2&ndash;3 days per week on-site, with some work that can be handled remotely. If the working relationship is strong, we expect the role may grow into a full-time position around August or September.This role is ideal for someone with prior experience as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, Household Manager, Family Assistant, or operations-focused administrative professional. We are looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, discreet, and comfortable managing a wide range of household, family, vendor, scheduling, travel, and event-related tasks.You will work directly with the family to bring structure, follow-through, and momentum to household operations and personal logistics.
