This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment committed to excellence in healthcare delivery.Duties<ul><li>Assist with patient intake by collecting comprehensive medical histories and documenting current health concerns using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. </li><li>Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature, and oxygen saturation to monitor patient health status accurately. </li><li>Prepare patients for examinations or procedures, including basic skin assessments in dermatology or preparing for X-ray imaging and other diagnostic tests. </li><li>Support physicians during procedures by handing instruments, administering medications under supervision, and ensuring proper sterilization protocols are followed. </li><li>Manage medical administrative support tasks such as ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), appointment scheduling, and maintaining accurate medical records. </li><li>Assist with medication administration within scope of practice and ensure proper documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. </li><li>Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, offering reassurance, and ensuring a comfortable environment for all patients across outpatient clinics or inpatient units like ICU or Geriatrics wards.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in settings such as dermatology clinics, hospital medicine units, urgent care centers, or outpatient clinics. </li><li>Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology essential for effective patient care and documentation. </li><li>Hands-on experience with EHR systems, ICD coding, vital signs collection, and intake procedures. </li><li>Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications like X-ray operation or medication administration are highly desirable. </li><li>Prior hospital experience including Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center environments is preferred; experience in emergency medicine or PICU is a plus. </li><li>Familiarity with medical-surgical practices, internal medicine protocols, geriatrics care, and OR procedures enhances your ability to excel in diverse clinical settings. </li><li>Strong communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient service; ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
