In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of flooring materials, including tile, hardwood, laminate, and vinyl, ensuring precise craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to transforming spaces and delivering high-quality results that exceed client expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about construction, renovation, and creating beautiful, functional environments.Duties<ul><li>Measure and prepare surfaces accurately using blueprint reading and schematics to ensure proper installation of flooring materials.</li><li>Remove existing flooring and prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, and repairing as needed.</li><li>Install various types of flooring including tile laying, hardwood, laminate, vinyl planks, and carpet with precision and attention to detail.</li><li>Use hand tools and power tools such as saws, drills, caulking guns, buffing machines, and concrete finishing tools to complete installations efficiently.</li><li>Perform trim carpentry tasks such as baseboards, molding, and thresholds to achieve a polished finish.</li><li>Seal joints with caulking or sealants to prevent water damage and ensure durability.</li><li>Read blueprints and schematics accurately to follow project specifications and installation guidelines.</li><li>Conduct water damage restoration when necessary by removing damaged materials and installing new flooring or related fixtures.</li><li>Assist with floor care maintenance including buffing, cleaning, and routine inspections to prolong the lifespan of installed floors.</li><li>Collaborate with other construction professionals on remodeling projects involving cabinet installation, fixture setup, or painting.</li><li>Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards within the restoration industry when applicable.</li><li>Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris removal throughout the project lifecycle.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience in flooring installation with a strong understanding of tile laying, carpentry, and construction site practices.</li><li>Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.</li><li>Skilled in using hand tools such as saws, drills, caulking guns, as well as power tools required for flooring installation and finishing work.</li><li>Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus for assessing project scope and materials needed.</li><li>Experience in water damage restoration or general construction painting is advantageous.</li><li>Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and routine maintenance procedures.</li><li>Strong understanding of schematics related to fixture installation or remodeling projects.</li><li>Ability to work safely on construction sites while adhering to OSHA standards and safety protocols.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills with the capacity to troubleshoot issues related to substrate preparation or material compatibility.</li><li>Maintenance Person experience or background in restoration industry work will be considered beneficial for versatile project support.
