Alliance Retina of Texas, Pllc is seeking a Medical Receptionist/Front Desk to join our ophthalmology practice. Candidate MUST be willing to commute between our offices in Arlington, Alliance-Fort Worth area and Decatur. Some experience required. Benefits included.DescriptionThis position is responsible for the following:<ul><li>Accurately completes the patient check-in and check-out process.</li><li>Completes paperwork and computer data entry to ensure the process is efficient and all requirements have been met.</li><li>Completes all check-out functions including pricing services, collecting payments and scheduling follow up appointments.</li><li>Follows up with patients regarding the Missed Appointment Policy and sends out the appropriate communications.</li><li>Contacts patients to verify patient demographics and insurance providers, updates information in systems, and documents conversations.</li><li>Prepares charts for patient appointments making sure all necessary information is complete.</li><li>Obtaining appropriate PCP Referral Authorizations, as needed, for patients&rsquo; visits.</li><li>Respond to emails that arrive through the general office email address.</li><li>Properly assist physically or visually disabled patients.</li><li>Must be able to travel and ensures travel equipment is maintained.</li><li>Refer situations beyond ability to proper person.</li><li>Greet patients in a cordial, friendly and prompt manner.</li><li>Manage multiple phone lines efficiently, professionally, and politely.</li><li>Answers phone calls promptly and directs them appropriately.</li><li>Schedule for multiple providers and multiple offices in a friendly, efficient, accurate, timely manner and completes according to provider guidelines.</li><li>Ability to multitask and prioritize a variety of duties.</li><li>Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant; make prompt and accurate judgments.</li><li>Participate in the implementation of procedures to improve the quality of work being processed.</li><li>Accept other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Qualified applicants will exhibit the following:<ul><li>Proficient in computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook</li><li>Working knowledge of medical billing and insurance plan processes such as benefits verification and referral/prior authorization</li><li>Friendly &amp; upbeat personality who is patient and customer service focused</li><li>Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Bilingual in Spanish/Vietnamese is preferred</li><li>Loyalty: We are looking to hire a long-term employee</li></ul>Why work for Alliance Retina?<ul><li>Competitive Pay</li><li>Bonus Eligibility</li><li>Paid Vacation time</li><li>Opportunities for professional growth and certification</li></ul>Please Note: All job offers are contingent on the successful completion of pre-employment criminal history check.Job Types: Full-timeExperience:<ul><li>Medical receptionist: 1 year (Preferred)</li><li>Insurance verification experience preferred</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Associate (Preferred)</li></ul>Language:<ul><li>Spanish/Vietnamese (Preferred)</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Uniform allowance</li></ul>Medical Specialty:<ul><li>Ophthalmology</li></ul>Willingness to travel:<ul><li>50% (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
