About the Role:The Controller is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the full accounting lifecycle and driving process improvements within a manufacturing environment. This position manages everything from day-to-day accounts payable and fixed asset recording to high-level month-end closing, GAAP compliance, and 13-week cash flow forecasting. As a key strategic partner, you will leverage Epicor ERP and advanced Excel skills to provide senior management with the financial analysis and budgetary oversight necessary to optimize operational performance.Reporting to: Group Finance DirectorQualifications:<ul><li>Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Accounting or Finance.</li><li>Certification: CPA license is preferred.</li><li>Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Systems: * Proficiency in ERP systems; experience with Epicor is highly preferred.</li><li>Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel.</li><li>Core Competencies:</li><li>Strong ability to initiate and implement process changes to support strategic goals.</li><li>Excellent organizational and time management skills.</li><li>A proactive desire to learn, develop, and remain flexible in a dynamic environment.</li></ul>Responsibilities:Financial Operations &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Accounts Payable: Manage the end-to-end AP process, including the current implementation of an AP automation tool.</li><li>Month-End Close: Lead key month-end activities, including posting journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and preparing financial statements.</li><li>Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports (Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow).</li><li>Fixed Assets: Maintain and record company fixed assets.</li><li>Expense Management: Review and approve company expense reports.</li></ul>Analysis &amp; Strategy<ul><li>Budgeting &amp; Forecasting: Develop and maintain annual budgets; monitor and control costs against the budget plan to ensure the site meets or exceeds EBITDA targets.</li><li>Data Analysis: Utilize ERP data (Epicor) to assist with forecasting and provide actionable insights for monthly reporting.</li><li>Cash Management: Monitor daily cash flow and maintain a 13-week cash flow forecast.</li><li>Business Partnership: Collaborate with operations and senior management to analyze financial performance and deliver strategic guidance to drive organizational growth and operational scaling.</li></ul>Compliance &amp; Controls<ul><li>Regulatory Standards: Ensure all financial activities comply with GAAP and relevant local regulations.</li><li>Internal Controls: Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures.</li><li>Audit Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and fulfill documentation requests.</li><li>Reporting Line: Provide regular financial updates and reports to the Group Finance Director and Site General Manager.</li></ul>The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
