About the Role:

The Controller is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the full accounting lifecycle and driving process improvements within a manufacturing environment. This position manages everything from day-to-day accounts payable and fixed asset recording to high-level month-end closing, GAAP compliance, and 13-week cash flow forecasting. As a key strategic partner, you will leverage Epicor ERP and advanced Excel skills to provide senior management with the financial analysis and budgetary oversight necessary to optimize operational performance.

Reporting to: Group Finance Director

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Certification: CPA license is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Systems: * Proficiency in ERP systems; experience with Epicor is highly preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel.
  • Core Competencies:

  • A proactive desire to learn, develop, and remain flexible in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

Financial Operations & Reporting

  • Accounts Payable: Manage the end-to-end AP process, including the current implementation of an AP automation tool.
  • Month-End Close: Lead key month-end activities, including posting journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and preparing financial statements.
  • Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports (Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow).
  • Fixed Assets: Maintain and record company fixed assets.
  • Expense Management: Review and approve company expense reports.

Analysis & Strategy

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and maintain annual budgets; monitor and control costs against the budget plan to ensure the site meets or exceeds EBITDA targets.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize ERP data (Epicor) to assist with forecasting and provide actionable insights for monthly reporting.
  • Cash Management: Monitor daily cash flow and maintain a 13-week cash flow forecast.
  • Business Partnership: Collaborate with operations and senior management to analyze financial performance and deliver strategic guidance to drive organizational growth and operational scaling.

Compliance & Controls

  • Regulatory Standards: Ensure all financial activities comply with GAAP and relevant local regulations.
  • Internal Controls: Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures.
  • Audit Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and fulfill documentation requests.
  • Reporting Line: Provide regular financial updates and reports to the Group Finance Director and Site General Manager.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
