This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your clinical skills while contributing to the overall health and well-being of our community.Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring optimal oral health for each patient</li><li>Conduct comprehensive patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions</li><li>Assist with chairside procedures such as taking dental radiographs (medical imaging), applying sealants, and providing post-operative instructions</li><li>Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies tailored to their needs</li><li>Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations</li><li>Follow strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff</li><li>Collaborate with dentists and other team members in delivering efficient general dentistry services, including pediatric dentistry when applicable</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice</li><li>Proven experience in dental office settings, preferably within a busy dental clinic or healthcare environment</li><li>Proficiency with dental terminology, medical coding, and documentation review processes</li><li>Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques</li><li>Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing patient records effectively</li><li>Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus but not required; a passion for working with children is highly valued</li><li>Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs accurately and communicate clearly</li><li>Ability to work efficiently in four-handed dentistry setups alongside dentists and other team members</li></ul>Join us in creating healthier smiles!
