This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your career in patient-centered setting dedicated to excellence in dental care.Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage patient intake processes, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance coverage using systems such as Dentrix Ascend EMR (Electronic Medical Records) platform</li><li>Perform insurance verification and authorization procedures, ensuring accurate billing and coding with CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 codes, and dental terminology knowledge</li><li>Handle dental billing and collections efficiently through platforms like Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks</li><li>Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, including care plans and dental records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations</li><li>Provide exceptional patient service by answering multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette and assisting with front desk duties such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and appointment scheduling</li><li>Support dental administrative tasks including filing, data management, and maintaining health information systems to ensure organized record keeping</li><li>Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth clinic operations while managing office management responsibilities</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience in a dental or medical office setting with strong familiarity of dental terminology and clinic procedures</li><li>Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms; experience with Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth is highly desirable</li><li>Knowledge of dental coding, CDT coding, insurance verification processes,</li><li>Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and health information management standards</li><li>Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; ability to navigate multi-line phone systems efficiently</li><li>Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively</li><li>Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and a friendly demeanor</li><li>Ability to review documentation thoroughly for accuracy while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Previous clinic or dental office experience preferred; office management or administrative support background highly valued</li></ul>Join our team where your energy makes a difference!
