Job OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and dependable Wheelchair Van Driver to join our transportation team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting clients with mobility challenges to various destinations, ensuring a comfortable and secure experience. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and helping others to make a positive impact in their community.Duties<ul><li>Safely operate passenger vans, wheelchair accessible vehicles, and other client transportation vehicles on local routes</li><li>Assist passengers with boarding, disembarking, and securing mobility devices such as wheelchairs or scooters</li><li>Follow GPS navigation and route plans to ensure timely arrivals at scheduled destinations</li><li>Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform routine inspections, and report any maintenance issues promptly</li><li>Communicate effectively with clients, dispatchers, and team members to coordinate pickups and drop-offs</li><li>Adhere strictly to all state transportation regulations, traffic laws, and safety protocols during every trip</li><li>Provide excellent customer service by creating a welcoming environment and addressing passenger needs professionally</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Prior experience as a delivery driver, shuttle driver, bus driver, or chauffeur driving passenger vehicles is highly preferred</li><li>Experience operating passenger vans or client transportation vehicles in compliance with local and state regulations</li><li>Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and local driving routes for efficient route planning</li><li>Knowledge of manual handling techniques for assisting passengers with mobility devices or heavy lifting requirements</li><li>Medical transportation experience or paratransit service background is a plus</li><li>Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members</li><li>Demonstrated ability to maintain vehicle safety standards through routine maintenance and inspections</li></ul>Join us as a Wheelchair Van Driver and be part of a dedicated team committed to providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services.
