AMI is seeking a Asphalt Milling Machine Operator. This role is primarily responsible for the set-up, safe operation and maintenance of the asphalt milling machine and is best suited for a team player who is action-oriented.Job Responsibilities:<ul><li>Perform work in accordance with local, commercial, and DOT specifications.</li><li>Complete jobs within budget and on time.</li><li>Operate the milling machine to mill to desired grades and elevations to meet job specifications.</li><li>Thorough understanding of the paving industry including prep work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate size, job specifications, compaction, and other details related to asphalt paving.</li><li>Assist in Instructing crew members in a professional manner in order to relay expectations and instill motivation.</li><li>Work with the management team to stay updated on product knowledge and be informed of any changes.</li><li>Respond to internal and external requests and provide high quality support to customers and colleagues.</li><li>Maintain a high level of professionalism with clients and work to establish a positive rapport with every contact.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Skills Needed:<ul><li>Asphalt milling experience required.</li><li>Minimum 2-3 years of experience operating a Wirtgen Milling Machine or similiar.</li><li>Ability to operate other equipment such as a Skid Steer, Paver, or Roller is a plus.</li><li>Must be available to work weekends.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Referral program</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
