Milling Machine Operator

AMI is seeking a Asphalt Milling Machine Operator. This role is primarily responsible for the set-up, safe operation and maintenance of the asphalt milling machine and is best suited for a team player who is action-oriented.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform work in accordance with local, commercial, and DOT specifications.
• Complete jobs within budget and on time.
• Operate the milling machine to mill to desired grades and elevations to meet job specifications.
• Thorough understanding of the paving industry including prep work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate size, job specifications, compaction, and other details related to asphalt paving.
• Assist in Instructing crew members in a professional manner in order to relay expectations and instill motivation.
• Work with the management team to stay updated on product knowledge and be informed of any changes.
• Respond to internal and external requests and provide high quality support to customers and colleagues.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism with clients and work to establish a positive rapport with every contact.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills Needed:

• Asphalt milling experience required.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience operating a Wirtgen Milling Machine or similiar.
• Ability to operate other equipment such as a Skid Steer, Paver, or Roller is a plus.
• Must be available to work weekends.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
