Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll/HR Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining payroll records, and supporting various payroll functions. This position requires strong analytical skills, and proficiency in payroll software. The Payroll/HR Assistant will also assist in HR related functions to facilitate smooth onboarding and employment company regulations and policies are adhered to.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist in processing payroll for employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.</li><li>Maintain detailed records of employee hours, deductions, and benefits for administration.</li><li>Perform data entry tasks related to payroll and HR functions.</li><li>Calculating wages, deductions (taxes, benefits), and overtime pay.</li><li>Generating payroll reports and handling inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and deductions.</li><li>Communicating with employees for payroll and HR information</li><li>Utilize, QuickBooks, QuickBooks Time, Excel and other software to perform tasks.</li><li>Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.</li><li>Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, both physical and digital.</li><li>Supporting new hire onboarding and training initiatives.</li><li>Handling employee inquiries and requests, potentially involving benefits, company policies, or general HR matters.</li><li>Assisting with employee relations issues and helping to foster a positive work environment.</li><li>Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive employee data.</li><li>Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate reporting of financial information related to payroll</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Proven experience in payroll management or related accounting roles is preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with QuickBooks is a preferred plus.</li><li>Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and analysis tasks.</li><li>A background in human resources or benefits administration is not a requirement but beneficial for this role.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>How many years of payroll/HR experience do you have? </li><li>Do you speak English and Spanish?</li><li>How many years of Excel experience do you have?</li><li>How many years of QuickBooks experience do you have? </li></ul>Education:<ul><li>High school or equivalent (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
