Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll/HR Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining payroll records, and supporting various payroll functions. This position requires strong analytical skills, and proficiency in payroll software. The Payroll/HR Assistant will also assist in HR related functions to facilitate smooth onboarding and employment company regulations and policies are adhered to.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in processing payroll for employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Maintain detailed records of employee hours, deductions, and benefits for administration.
  • Perform data entry tasks related to payroll and HR functions.
  • Calculating wages, deductions (taxes, benefits), and overtime pay.
  • Generating payroll reports and handling inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and deductions.
  • Communicating with employees for payroll and HR information
  • Utilize, QuickBooks, QuickBooks Time, Excel and other software to perform tasks.
  • Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, both physical and digital.
  • Supporting new hire onboarding and training initiatives.
  • Handling employee inquiries and requests, potentially involving benefits, company policies, or general HR matters.
  • Assisting with employee relations issues and helping to foster a positive work environment.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive employee data.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate reporting of financial information related to payroll

Experience

  • Proven experience in payroll management or related accounting roles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks is a preferred plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and analysis tasks.
  • A background in human resources or benefits administration is not a requirement but beneficial for this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
