The Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and analysis of piling and shoring systems, ensuring safe, efficient, and economical design solutions for foundation and retaining projects.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Prepare designs and calculations for piling systems (e.g., bored piles, CFA piles and micro piles).</li><li>Develop and design shoring systems and temporary retaining structures, such as secant and contiguous pile walls, sheet piles,</li><li>soldier pile walls, diaphragm walls, anchors, and struts.</li><li>Carry out geotechnical and structural analysis using design software (e.g., PLAXIS, WALLAP, Oasys, SAFE, STAAD, or similar).</li><li>Interpret geotechnical investigation reports and provide appropriate foundation and retaining wall solutions.</li><li>Prepare technical drawings, design sketches, and reports for internal review and client submission.</li><li>Ensure all designs comply with Eurocodes, ACI &amp; BS standards, and local authority regulations.</li><li>Provide technical support to project and site teams during construction, addressing design queries and modifications.</li><li>Participate in tender design preparation, offering value engineering solutions to optimize cost and performance.</li><li>Conduct design risk assessments and assist in developing method statements.</li><li>Attend technical meetings and site visits to review design implementation and provide engineering input.</li><li>Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors on technical design aspects.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (Master&rsquo;s preferred).</li><li>7&ndash;8 years of experience in design engineering within a piling, shoring, or geotechnical contracting company.</li><li>Strong knowledge of piling systems, shoring methods, and temporary works design.</li><li>Proficient in AutoCAD and relevant design software (e.g., PLAXIS, WALLAP, Oasys, SAFE, STAAD Pro).</li><li>Good understanding of soil&ndash;structure interaction, ground behavior, and foundation design principles.</li></ul>Interested Candidates can send CVs to apccwll@gmail.comWork Location: In person
