The Cath Lab Nurse is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The role includes patient preparation, intra-procedural assistance, post-procedure monitoring, and ensuring patient safety in accordance with hospital policy.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Prepare patients physically and psychologically for cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.</li><li>Assist cardiologists during procedures such as coronary angiography, angioplasty, stent placement, pacemaker insertion, and other invasive cardiac procedures.</li><li>Monitor patients&rsquo; vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic status before, during, and after procedures.</li><li>Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for adverse reactions.</li><li>Maintain sterile technique and assist with equipment setup and handling.</li><li>Provide post-procedure care, including monitoring puncture sites, managing complications, and patient education.</li><li>Accurately document nursing care, procedures, and patient responses.</li><li>Ensure compliance with infection control, radiation safety, and patient safety protocols.</li><li>Participate in emergency situations such as cardiac arrest and assist with resuscitation.</li><li>Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and other healthcare team members.</li><li>Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution.</li><li>Valid nursing license (SCFHS or equivalent, or eligible for licensure).</li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in Cath Lab, Cardiology, ICU, or CCU.</li><li>Current BLS and ACLS certification.</li></ul>ies and clinical standards.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentExperience:<ul><li>Cath Lab RN: 5 years (Required)</li></ul>
