Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of various areas of law, including healthcare law, estate planning, construction law, real property law, and litigation. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional support to attorneys and ensuring the efficient operation of our law office.Responsibilities<ul><li>Draft, proofread, and review legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and correspondence.</li><li>Manage case files using document management systems like Clio and Netdocs.</li><li>Perform data entry and maintain accurate records within legal case management software.</li><li>Organize and maintain filing systems, ensuring all documents are properly categorized and easily accessible.</li><li>Coordinate schedules, appointments, and meetings for attorneys while managing their calendars effectively.</li><li>Support project management tasks related to ongoing cases or legal projects.</li><li>Communicate effectively with clients via phone etiquette while providing updates on case progress.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Previous experience in a law office environment is preferred; paralegal experience is a plus.</li><li>Strong writing skills.</li><li>Excellent proofreading abilities to ensure all documents are error-free before submission.</li><li>Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated when needed.
