Maintenance &amp; Bottling Line TechnicianApplied Chemistries Inc. is seeking a hands-on, mechanically inclined Maintenance &amp; Bottling Line Technician to support our growing chemical manufacturing and packaging operation in Agawam. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, setting up, and improving automated and semi-automated bottling, labeling, capping, mixing, and packaging equipment, along with general facility and utility systems.Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform preventative maintenance on bottling, capping, labeling, filling, conveying, and packaging equipment</li><li>Maintain and troubleshoot air compressors, mixing tanks, pumps, mixers, agitators, and other production utility systems</li><li>Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues throughout the facility</li><li>Set up and adjust bottling lines for different container sizes and production runs</li><li>Troubleshoot production downtime issues and quickly restore operation</li><li>Replace motors, bearings, seals, hoses, valves, sensors, belts, and other wear components</li><li>Assist with installation, plumbing, and setup of new production and processing equipment</li><li>Support facility maintenance including piping, compressed air systems, drum handling equipment, and material transfer systems</li><li>Maintain maintenance records, PM schedules, and spare parts inventory</li><li>Work closely with production staff to improve line efficiency, reliability, and uptime</li><li>Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment</li></ul>Preferred Experience<ul><li>Industrial maintenance, bottling, packaging, chemical manufacturing, food processing, or related manufacturing experience</li><li>Experience working with:</li><li>Air compressors</li><li>Pumps and piping systems</li><li>Mixing tanks and agitators</li><li>Pneumatics</li><li>Conveyors</li><li>Fillers and cappers</li><li>Labeling systems</li><li>Electric motors and gearboxes</li><li>Basic understanding of electrical troubleshooting and control systems</li><li>Welding, fabrication, plumbing, or machining experience is a plus</li><li>Forklift experience is a plus</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability</li><li>Ability to work independently and prioritize urgent repairs</li><li>Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented</li><li>Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment</li><li>Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent required</li><li>Technical or vocational training preferred</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Competitive pay based on experience</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>401(k) with strong company match</li><li>Profit sharing</li><li>Paid holidays, vacation, and sick time</li><li>Advancement opportunities within a growing manufacturing company</li></ul>Schedule<ul><li>Full-time</li><li>Monday&ndash;Friday</li><li>Overtime available as needed</li></ul>About Applied Chemistries Inc.Applied Chemistries Inc. is a specialty chemical manufacturer focused on formulation, blending, packaging, and technical problem solving for industrial customers across North America.
