Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Ground Worker and Tree Care Technician, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes and tree health. This energetic position involves hands-on work in tree care, landscape maintenance, and land improvement projects. You will operate equipment such as bucket trucks and perform essential tasks like tree trimming, pruning, and lawn care. Your growing experience in horticulture and landscape services will help create safe, beautiful environments for our clients. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills while contributing to vibrant outdoor spaces.Duties<ul><li>Assist with tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal using rigging techniques and safety protocols</li><li>Operate bucket trucks and other equipment such as tractors or skid steers to access high or hard-to-reach areas</li><li>Support landscape maintenance tasks like lawn care, planting, mulching, and general landscaping projects</li><li>Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and site planning when required</li><li>Perform land clearing, site preparation, and erosion control work to prepare sites for development or beautification</li><li>Maintain safety standards by inspecting equipment, securing rigging setups, and following all safety procedures during operations</li><li>Contribute to team efforts in growing plant material, horticultural practices, and overall landscape enhancement</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Previous experience or growing knowledge in tree care, landscaping, or horticulture is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential</li><li>Familiarity with rigging techniques, bucket operation, and the use of bucket trucks is advantageous</li><li>Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and efficiently</li><li>Basic understanding of GIS technology or willingness to learn its application in site planning is a plus</li><li>Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions</li><li>Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality workmanship</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license; certification in tree care or landscape maintenance is a bonus</li></ul>Join us to cultivate your passion for outdoor environments!
