This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on patient experiences while working in a fast-paced healthcare setting.Responsibilities<ul><li>Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression at the front desk or phone line</li><li>Schedule appointments efficiently using electronic health record (EHR) system</li><li>Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare and Medicaid, ensuring accurate billing processes</li><li>Collect and review patient information, updating medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations</li><li>Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures, including intake forms and demographic updates</li><li>Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette to address patient inquiries and direct calls appropriately</li><li>Support clinical staff by preparing patient charts, updating care plans, and handling medical records requests</li><li>Maintain organized filing systems for medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with health information management standards</li><li>Handle insurance verification processes to facilitate smooth reimbursement workflows</li><li>Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining clinic supplies</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience in a medical office or healthcare setting with strong clerical skills</li><li>Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Eaglesoft or Dentrix</li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, CPT coding, and medical billing procedures</li><li>Experience with insurance verification processes including Medicare and Medicaid procedures</li><li>Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in bilingual environments preferred</li><li>Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review and record keeping</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with typing skills including 10-key typing capabilities</li><li>Ability to handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations</li><li>Previous clinic or dental office experience is highly desirable</li><li>Office management skills including appointment scheduling, front desk operations, and multi-line phone handling</li></ul>Join us in delivering outstanding patient care through energetic support and meticulous administrative excellence!
