Arizona Building Supply manufactures truss and wall panel components, and sells a wide range of building materials including lumber, windows, doors, hardware and trim. Additionally, they operate regional home centers located throughout the state, offering a variety of building materials and home improvement supplies. A Brief Overview The CDL Driver I delivers materials to job site, inspects and maintains truck, reports shortages and claims to supervisor and assists in loading and storing of materials. Typically, driving a truck with a capacity of more than three tons, but may be a less experienced CDL or tractor trailer driver. What you will do <ul><li>Operate safely.</li><li>Participate in a positive work environment.</li><li>Maintain a current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License as required.</li><li>Prepare DOT required log of time on duty and driving.</li><li>Organize and secure load.</li><li>Assist forklift operators when loading.</li><li>Check orders for accuracy.</li><li>Deliver and unload materials to customers' satisfaction.</li><li>Complete daily equipment pre-inspection.</li><li>Record all merchandise that is returned by truck, assist in unloading material returned for credit.</li><li>Follow guidelines established by the Department of Transportation.</li><li>Provide excellent customer service.</li><li>Relay messages sent by customers while on job.</li><li>Assist supervisor, other employees and other work areas, as assigned.</li><li>Assist in maintaining good housekeeping in yard and warehouse.</li><li>Comply with all company policies and guidelines.</li><li>Operate truck mounted forklift safely and efficently.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness of truck.</li><li>Participate in and complete assigned trainings.</li></ul> Required For All Jobs <ul><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li><li>Comply with all policies and standards.</li><li>Adheres to Company's commitment to workplace safety.</li></ul> Education Qualifications <ul><li>High School Diploma or GED required.</li></ul> Experience Qualifications <ul><li>6 months CDL experience preferred.</li><li>Basic CDL experience with flat beds and/or tractor trailers required.</li><li>1 year CDL experience required for interstate commerce.</li></ul> Skills and Abilities <ul><li>Ability to do basic math, read orders, write instructions and complete forms.</li><li>Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with customers, other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills.</li><li>Ability to deal constructively with conflict and recognize potential problems.</li><li>Maintain current operator's license and meet company driver qualification requirements.</li><li>Knowledge and ability to use safe lifting techniques.</li><li>Proficiency with or ability to learn current technologies (e.g. Smartphone, GPS and other necessary business applications).</li></ul> Licenses and Certifications <ul><li>Class A CDL License or Class B CDL License required.</li></ul> Additional Potential Opportunities based on experience: <ul><li>CDLDR2 - CDL Driver II</li><li>CDLLH - CDL Driver Long Haul</li><li>CDLWL - CDL Wide Load</li><li>CDLBC - CDL Driver Boom Crane</li></ul> Arizona Building Supply, a Division of US LBM Holdings, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
