As part of the 988 Suicide &amp; Crisis Lifeline, we ensure Arkansans have someone to turn to 24/7.If you are calm under pressure, compassionate, motivated by meaningful work, and are passionate about youth mental health we encourage you to apply.What You&rsquo;ll Do<ul><li>Provide support to Peer Support Specialist answering AR Teen Connect </li><li>Monitor contacts to AR Teen Connect</li><li>Provide AR Teen Connect Curriculum training to Peer Support Specialists </li><li>Support volunteers with reporting requirements for AR Teen Connect </li><li>Participate in Youth Advisory Council Meetings </li><li>Provide quality improvement and maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in accordance with organizational standards </li><li>Provide empathetic, nonjudgmental support using trauma-informed and person-centered approaches to youth </li><li>Maintain high level of professionalism with Peer Support Specialist volunteers </li></ul>What We&rsquo;re Looking For✔ Empathy and emotional intelligence✔ Cultural humility and respect for diverse lived experiences✔ Ability to support individuals across cultures, identities, and life experiences✔ Sound judgment and ethical decision-making✔ Ability to manage stress and maintain professional boundaries✔ Adaptability and teamwork in a fast-paced environment✔ Ability to positively mentor and support youthMinimum Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in a related social sciences field</li><li>Must be available to regularly work from our Bentonville office between the hours of 4:00 pm - 10:00 pm.</li><li>Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Ability to remain calm, focused, and compassionate in high-stress situations</li><li>Experience working with youth, including having the ability to establish rapport and mentor youth.</li><li>Ability to mentor youth</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Education or experience in public health, social work, psychology, counseling, human services, or related field</li><li>Experience supporting individuals in crisis or working with vulnerable populations</li><li>Knowledge of suicide prevention, trauma-informed care, or crisis intervention practices</li><li>Familiarity with Arkansas resources and service systems</li><li>Bilingual skills or lived experience navigating mental health systems</li><li>Crisis Intervention Experience preferred and ability to attend Arkansas Crisis Center Trainings and an Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST).</li></ul>Training &amp; Support✔ Paid training provided✔ ASIST or equivalent suicide intervention training✔ Ongoing coaching and supervision✔ Supportive team environment focused on staff wellness✔ Continuing education and skill development opportunitiesWhy Work With Us<ul><li>Meaningful, life-saving work</li><li>Supportive and mission-driven team</li><li>Opportunities for growth and additional hours</li><li>Be a part of improving youth mental health across Arkansas</li></ul>Arkansas Crisis Center is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace.
