<ul><li>Develop, implement, and monitor safety and environmental programs and policies for waste management operations.</li><li>Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards associated with waste handling, disposal, and recycling.</li><li>Advise management on best practices for health, safety, and environmental issues in waste management processes.</li><li>Ensure that waste management practices are in line with environmental laws, including waste disposal, recycling, and hazardous material handling.</li><li>Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to waste disposal, recycling, and waste treatment.</li><li>Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations related to health, safety, and environmental standards in waste management.</li><li>Ensure that waste management activities are in compliance with international standards, where applicable (e.g., ISO 14001 for environmental management).</li><li>Conduct training programs for staff on proper waste handling, emergency procedures, and safety practices.</li><li>Raise awareness among employees regarding environmental and safety policies, ensuring all employees are familiar with waste management practices.</li><li>Provide safety instructions to personnel working in hazardous waste areas.</li><li>Investigate accidents, near misses, and incidents within waste management operations to determine root causes and prevent future occurrences.</li><li>Prepare reports and document findings related to any safety or environmental incidents.</li><li>Implement strategies for reducing waste generation, increasing recycling rates, and preventing pollution.</li><li>Monitor waste streams to ensure proper segregation of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.</li><li>Promote sustainable waste management practices, such as reducing, reusing, and recycling.</li><li>Maintain records related to waste disposal, hazardous waste management, and environmental compliance.</li><li>Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies as required.</li><li>Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety and environmental performance.</li><li>Develop and implement emergency response plans for accidents involving hazardous waste or chemical spills.</li><li>Lead or participate in emergency response drills to ensure readiness for waste-related incidents.</li><li>Evaluate waste management processes and recommend improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and environmental performance.</li><li>Collaborate with other departments to continuously improve waste management strategies.</li></ul><p>Job Type: Full-time</p>
