The CDL Driver I delivers materials to job site, inspects and maintains truck, reports shortages and claims to supervisor and assists in loading and storing of materials. Typically, driving a truck with a capacity of more than three tons, but may be a less experienced CDL or tractor trailer driver. Pay Range: $27.00 - $31.00/hour What you will do <ul><li>Operate safely.</li><li>Participate in a positive work environment.</li><li>Maintain a current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License as required.</li><li>Prepare DOT required log of time on duty and driving.</li><li>Organize and secure load.</li><li>Assist forklift operators when loading.</li><li>Check orders for accuracy.</li><li>Deliver and unload materials to customers' satisfaction.</li><li>Complete daily equipment pre-inspection.</li><li>Record all merchandise that is returned by truck, assist in unloading material returned for credit.</li><li>Follow guidelines established by the Department of Transportation.</li><li>Provide excellent customer service.</li><li>Relay messages sent by customers while on job.</li><li>Assist supervisor, other employees and other work areas, as assigned.</li><li>Assist in maintaining good housekeeping in yard and warehouse.</li><li>Comply with all company policies and guidelines.</li><li>Operate truck mounted forklift safely and efficiently.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness of truck.</li><li>Participate in and complete assigned trainings.</li></ul> Required For All Jobs <ul><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li><li>Comply with all policies and standards.</li><li>Adheres to Company's commitment to workplace safety.</li></ul> Education Qualifications <ul><li>High School Diploma or GED required.</li></ul> Experience Qualifications <ul><li>CDL experience preferred</li><li>Basic CDL experience with flat beds and/or tractor trailers required.</li><li>1-3 years CDL experience required for interstate commerce</li></ul> Skills and Abilities <ul><li>Ability to do basic math, read orders, write instructions and complete forms.</li><li>Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with customers, other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills.</li><li>Ability to deal constructively with conflict and recognize potential problems.</li><li>Maintain current operator's license and meet company driver qualification requirements.</li><li>Knowledge and ability to use safe lifting techniques.</li><li>Proficiency with or ability to learn current technologies (e.g. Smartphone, GPS and other necessary business applications).</li></ul> Licenses and Certifications <ul><li>Class A CDL License required.</li><li>Class B CDL License required.</li><li>For Boom Crane CDL Driver positions - a Certified Drill Rig Operator-NCCCO Boom Certification preferred - maintain active accredited certification for equipment type (e.g. NCCCO, NCCER, CIC) preferred.</li></ul> Additional Potential Opportunities based on experience: <ul><li>CDL Driver II</li><li>CDL Long haul</li><li>CDL Wide Load</li><li>CDL Driver Boom Crane</li><li>Non-CDL Driver I</li><li>Non-CDL Driver II</li></ul> Arrow Building Center, Lampert Lumber and Lyman Lumber Companies, divisions of US LBM Holdings, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
