Position Summary:</b><br>
The Account Manager &ndash; Outside Sales is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio, primarily in the construction and building trades. This is a field-based role focused on building long-term relationships, driving new business, and meeting sales targets. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, knowledgeable about construction materials, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-first environment.</p><p><b>
Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to retain and grow accounts</p></li><li><p>
Identify and pursue new business opportunities with contractors, builders, and developers</p></li><li><p>
Conduct regular site visits to assess customer needs, resolve issues, and provide product recommendations</p></li><li><p>
Prepare and present quotes, bids, and product proposals</p></li><li><p>
Collaborate with inside sales, operations, and dispatch teams to ensure timely deliveries and service excellence</p></li><li><p>
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and product knowledge</p></li><li><p>
Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, and customer communication using CRM tools</p></li><li><p>
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals</p></li></ul><p><b>
Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><p>
2+ years of outside sales experience in construction, building materials, or related industry</p></li><li><p>
Proven track record of achieving sales goals and growing customer accounts</p></li><li><p>
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills</p></li><li><p>
Knowledge of building materials (lumber, drywall, hardware, etc.) strongly preferred</p></li><li><p>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license with clean driving record</p></li><li><p>
Ability to travel locally on a daily basis</p></li></ul><p><b>
