This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills within a collaborative dental practice dedicated to excellence.Duties<ul><li>Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup.</li><li>Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental conditions.</li><li>Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort.</li><li>Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety measures are followed.</li><li>Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting treatment plans, patient responses, and procedural notes in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.</li><li>Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental health.</li><li>Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a sterile environment.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proficiency with dental office management software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix.</li><li>Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and documentation review processes.</li><li>Experience with pediatric dentistry and pediatrics-specific patient care approaches is highly desirable.</li><li>Skilled in chairside assisting with a focus on patient comfort, infection control, and aseptic technique.</li><li>Ability to measure vital signs accurately and recognize abnormal findings requiring further medical assessment.</li><li>Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.</li><li>Knowledge of medical coding for billing purposes related to dental procedures.</li><li>Excellent communication skills for explaining treatment procedures clearly and compassionately to patients of all ages.
