Retail Cashier &ndash; Smoke Shop (New Store Opening)Location: La Grande, OR Job Type: Full-Time / Part-TimeJob DescriptionWe are looking for reliable, friendly, and motivated Cashiers to join our team at our brand-new smoke shop location. As a cashier, you will be the first point of contact for customers and play a key role in delivering excellent customer service while supporting daily store operations.This is an exciting opportunity to grow with a new business where leadership has extensive industry experience and is committed to working side by side with the team to ensure success.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Greet customers in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner</li><li>Accurately operate the POS system and handle cash, debit, and credit transactions</li><li>Verify customer age and ensure compliance with tobacco and vape regulations</li><li>Maintain knowledge of store products, including tobacco, vape, CBD, and accessories</li><li>Assist customers with product questions and recommendations</li><li>Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising standards</li><li>Restock shelves and assist with inventory management</li><li>Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines</li><li>Support opening and closing duties as assigned</li><li>Handle returns and exchanges professionally</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Previous cashier or retail experience preferred</li><li>Strong customer service and communication skills</li><li>Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly</li><li>Must be dependable, punctual, and team-oriented</li><li>Comfortable working in a smoke shop retail environment</li><li>Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends</li><li>Must be 21 years or older (per product regulations)</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Competitive hourly pay (based on experience)</li><li>Opportunities for growth and advancement</li><li>Supportive and experienced management team</li></ul>Pay: $14.50 - $16.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li></ul>Shift:<ul><li>Evening shift</li><li>Morning shift</li></ul>Work Location: In person
