Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Bilingual Intake Coordinator (Spanish)! In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for Spanish-speaking patients, providing exceptional administrative and clinical support. Your energetic and compassionate approach will help streamline patient intake processes, ensure accurate documentation, and facilitate seamless communication between patients and healthcare providers. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patient care while utilizing your bilingual skills and medical administrative expertise.Duties<ul><li>Greet and assist Spanish-speaking patients with warmth and professionalism at the front desk or via phone, ensuring a positive patient experience.</li><li>Conduct patient intake by collecting comprehensive medical histories, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth).</li><li>Review and verify documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.</li><li>Assist with insurance verification, billing procedures, and coding tasks including CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 coding to facilitate accurate claims processing.</li><li>Schedule appointments using medical office management software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix; manage multi-line phone systems efficiently.</li><li>Maintain organized medical records, files, and documentation review processes to support clinic operations.</li><li>Provide excellent patient service by answering inquiries, explaining procedures in Spanish and English, and ensuring clear communication throughout the intake process.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Proven experience in medical office administration or healthcare setting with clinic or dental office experience preferred.</li><li>Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks; familiarity with Eaglesoft or Dentrix is a plus.</li><li>Hands-on experience with medical billing, coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), insurance verification, and documentation review.</li><li>Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is essential; excellent verbal and written communication skills required.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive patient information following HIPAA guidelines with attention to detail.</li><li>Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office suite; typing speed of 10 key or more is advantageous.</li><li>Prior clinic or hospital experience involving front desk duties, medical scheduling, phone etiquette, filing, and health information management is highly desirable.
