This is a remote, contract based role ideal for someone with hands-on accounting and finance experience who can work independently and meet deadlines.You will assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, reconciliations, reporting, and client deliverables across various industries including MSP, SaaS, Construction, Retail, Consultancy, e-commerce, and professional services.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Record day-to-day financial transactions in Xero and/or QuickBooks Online</li><li>Perform bank, credit card, and payment processor reconciliations</li><li>Assist with month-end close activities</li><li>Maintain general ledger accuracy</li><li>Prepare basic financial reports (P&amp;L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)</li><li>Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable</li><li>Handle sales tax / VAT support (data prep, reconciliations - not filing unless experienced)</li><li>Support inventory accounting (Cin7, A2X, Finale, Zoho Inventory)</li><li>Help clean up and organize accounting records</li><li>Follow SOPs and meet client deadlines</li><li>Communicate progress and issues clearly in a remote environment</li></ul>Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Accounting degree or Certification (ACCA/CPA or part-qualified)</li><li>1&ndash;3 years of practical experience in accounting or finance</li><li>Strong working knowledge of Xero and/or QuickBooks Online</li><li>Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals (debits/credits, accruals)</li><li>Experience with bank reconciliations</li><li>Proficiency with Google Sheets / Excel</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks</li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Reliable internet connection and availability during agreed hours</li></ul>Preferred (Nice to Have):<ul><li>Experience with e-commerce accounting (Stripe, PayPal, Shopify, Amazon)</li><li>Experience with construction accounting or job costing</li><li>Familiarity with Inventory Management softwares</li><li>Exposure to US, UK, or Australian accounting</li></ul>Work Arrangement:<ul><li>Remote</li><li>Contract</li><li>Opportunity for long-term collaboration</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person
