Job description:Responsibilities:<ul><li>Tax Planning and Strategy:</li><li>Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize the organization's tax liabilities.</li><li>Provide strategic tax planning advice to senior management and stakeholders.</li><li>Stay updated on tax legislation and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance and optimizing tax positions.</li><li>Oversee transfer pricing strategies and documentation.</li><li>Tax Compliance:</li><li>Ensure timely compliance and accurate filing of all tax returns (e.g., VAT, Corporate Tax, ESR,UBO,AML,withholding tax.) in compliance with UAE &amp; other GCC tax laws and regulations.</li><li>Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors to manage tax audits and inquiries.</li><li>Maintain detailed records and documentation to support tax filings and audits.</li><li>Tax Reporting:</li><li>Prepare and review tax provision calculations for financial statements.</li><li>Ensure accurate reporting of tax-related items in financial statements in accordance with IFRS and other relevant standards.</li><li>Collaborate with the finance team to integrate tax considerations into overall financial reporting.</li><li>Risk Management:</li><li>Identify and mitigate tax risks through effective controls and processes.</li><li>Conduct regular tax risk assessments and implement measures to address identified risks.</li><li>Develop and maintain tax policies and procedures.</li><li>Advisory and Support:</li><li>Provide tax advice and support to various business units and departments within the organization.</li><li>Assist in structuring business transactions to achieve tax efficiency.</li><li>Support mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions from a tax perspective.</li><li>Team Leadership:</li><li>Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and development opportunities.</li><li>Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the tax team.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Education:</li><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field. A master&rsquo;s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CTA,CA) is often preferred.</li><li>Experience:</li><li>Several years of experience in tax management, preferably within a multinational corporation or a Big Four accounting firm.</li><li>Strong knowledge of UAE tax laws and regulations, including VAT and corporate tax.</li><li>Skills:</li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.</li><li>Proficiency in tax software and financial systems.</li><li>Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.</li></ul>Additional Considerations:<ul><li>Regulatory Environment:</li><li>Stay informed about the evolving tax landscape in the UAE and other GCC , including recent developments such as the introduction of corporate tax.</li><li>Understand the implications of international tax treaties and transfer pricing regulations as they apply to the UAE and other GCC Countries.</li><li>Cultural and Economic Factors:</li><li>Be aware of the unique cultural and economic environment in the UAE, including the importance of maintaining good relationships with local tax authorities.</li><li>Adapt tax strategies to align with the business practices and market conditions in the region.</li></ul>By fulfilling these responsibilities and qualifications, a Tax Manager in the UAE and other GCC countries can effectively manage the organization's tax obligations, optimize tax efficiency, and contribute to the overall financial health of the business.Job Type: Full-timeApplication Question(s):<ul><li>what is your nationality </li><li>what is your current salary</li><li>what is your expected salary</li><li>how many years of experience in UAE &amp; Total </li><li>what is your notice period </li><li>what is your current visa status</li></ul>
