Overview We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead tax engagements, manage client relationships, and provide technical guidance to staff. This role is ideal for a CPA with extensive public accounting experience who thrives in a collaborative, client-focused environment.Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage and supervise tax engagements from planning through completion.</li><li>Review individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns and supporting workpapers.</li><li>Conduct tax research and provide recommendations on complex tax matters.</li><li>Develop and maintain strong client relationships.</li><li>Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and deliverables.</li><li>Communicate regularly with clients regarding tax issues, planning opportunities, and project status.</li><li>Mentor, train, and supervise staff and senior accountants.</li><li>Assist with business development initiatives and client growth opportunities.</li><li>Support consulting projects and other special assignments as needed.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.</li><li>Active CPA license required.</li><li>10+ years of public accounting experience with progressive tax responsibilities.</li><li>Strong technical knowledge of federal and state taxation.</li><li>Experience reviewing complex tax returns and managing multiple client engagements.</li><li>Proficiency with QuickBooks, ProSystem fx Tax, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.</li><li>Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>401(k) with company match</li><li>Health, dental, vision, and life insurance</li><li>Disability insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Hybrid work schedule</li><li>Professional development and advancement opportunities</li></ul>Pay: $130,000.00 - $165,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Tax Manager: 10 years (Required)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>CPA (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Wakefield, MA 01880
