Psychiatric Physician (Inpatient) &ndash; Baker Act Receiving Facility Location: Naples, FloridaEmployment Type: Full-Time | Inpatient Psychiatry Facility Type: Acute Psychiatric Hospital &ndash; Baker Act Receiving FacilityAbout the OpportunityOur inpatient psychiatric hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Physician to join our multidisciplinary treatment team. As a Baker Act&ndash;receiving facility, we provide crisis stabilization, acute psychiatric care, and comprehensive treatment for adults experiencing mental health emergencies. This role is ideal for a physician who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and ongoing inpatient medication management.</li><li>Serve as the admitting and treating physician for individuals placed under the Florida Baker Act and voluntary patients.</li><li>Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with nursing, social work, therapy, and case management teams.</li><li>Conduct daily patient rounds and ensure appropriate clinical documentation according to regulatory standards.</li><li>Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, treatment planning discussions, and discharge planning.</li><li>Assess risk, safety, and readiness for discharge while ensuring compliance with Baker Act requirements.</li><li>Provide crisis intervention and stabilization in collaboration with clinical staff.</li><li>Maintain compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and best practices in psychiatric care.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.</li><li>Completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency.</li><li>Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.</li><li>Active Florida medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start).</li><li>Experience in inpatient or crisis-stabilization settings preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with Baker Act protocols, involuntary holds, and psychiatric care.</li><li>Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical decision-making skills.</li></ul>Schedule &amp; Work Environment<ul><li>Full-time inpatient schedule (M&ndash;F or block schedule options available).</li><li>Shared or dedicated on-call responsibilities (flexible based on candidate preference).</li><li>Support from psychiatric nurse practitioners, therapists, social workers, and medical staff.</li><li>Modern, secure, and recovery-oriented facility.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person
