Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive care for Federal Workers Compensation patients. In this vital role, you will deliver high-quality medical assessments, treatment plans, and ongoing management to individuals with work-related injuries and disabilities. Your expertise will ensure patients receive timely, effective care while adhering to federal regulations and workers' compensation law. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' recovery journeys within a dynamic healthcare environment.Duties<ul><li>Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews tailored to workers&rsquo; compensation cases</li><li>Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management</li><li>Manage acute and chronic patients</li><li>Utilize accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records</li><li>Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for case management to optimize patient outcomes</li><li>Educate patients on injury prevention, recovery strategies, and health coaching tailored to their specific occupational needs</li><li>Referral or perform diagnostic evaluations using laboratory testing, sonography, medical imaging, to support clinical decision-making</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with appropriate certification for practicing in the designated jurisdiction</li><li>Proven experience in occupational health or workers&rsquo; compensation law preferred; familiarity with federal regulations highly desirable</li><li>Strong clinical skills including trauma center experience (Level I or II), emergency medicine, urgent care, or hospital medicine settings</li><li>Proficiency in telehealth experience is a plus</li><li>Knowledge of CPT coding and ICD coding (ICD-10) for accurate billing and documentation purposes</li><li>Experience with procedures of basic life support</li><li>Ability to perform patient assessments across diverse individuals with disabilities</li><li>Excellent communication skills for triage calls, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration</li><li>Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and infection control standards in all clinical activities</li></ul>Join our team to provide compassionate care that empowers patients on their path to recovery!
