 Main Tasks &amp; Accountabilities:

 Background Knowledge &amp; Experience:

 Job Purpose
 
 
 
 
 
 
 The role is responsible for setting up inhouse portfolio and fund management businesses and assisting clients in managing their investment across asset classes through Shariah compliant strategies. The overall objective of this role is to set up the investment management function to act as strategic advisor to our clients by formulating investment strategies and raising assets under management (AUMs). The role is responsible for setting up public funds covering both sukuks and equities, pitching investment advisory services to bank&rsquo;s clients to get discretionary mandates and coordinating with internal stakeholders as well as external regulators for ensuring full compliance with rules and guidelines. This role requires a seasoned investment professional with extensive experience in cross asset portfolio management, fund structuring, and regulatory compliance, strong client relationships, and a track record in building AUMs. The role will be involved in other key aspects of the Investment Banking unit&rsquo;s activities including supporting the wealth management business, risk management, performance analysis reporting, and the continuous build-out of the team&rsquo;s operating infrastructure.

 Set up public funds and develop investment strategies to attract AUMs

 Build relationships by providing sophisticated investment solutions tailored to the clients' needs in line with their risk/return objectives

 Manage specific investment mandates and communicating internally and externally on the changing risk/return characteristics of the asset class and securities held in the portfolio

Portfolio Manager – Investment Advisory

 To ensure efficient processing, monitoring, and settlement of Treasury and Investment transactions, with a strong focus on investment activities, portfolio monitoring, and compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Main Tasks &amp; Accountabilities

 Process and monitor Treasury and Investment transactions including FX, Money Market, Sukuk, Equities, and other investment products.

 <li>
 Handle end-to-end settlement of investment deals (Sukuk, equities, funds, IPOs, structured deals) through SWIFT, custodians, and payment systems.

 <li>
 Handling IPO subscriptions, fund investments, and structured investment transactions.
 </li>

 Prepare and update reports related to investment portfolio, positions, MTM, and operational MIS.

 Ensure timely settlement of treasury deals and payments through SWIFT, RTGS, ACH and other payment channels.

 Ensure all investment and treasury transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with internal policies, CBO regulations, and Sharia guidelines.

 Monitor cash flows related to investment activities and ensure timely funding and settlement.

 Investigate and resolve settlement breaks, failed trades, and operational and system enhancements related to investment operations.
 </li>

 Participate in UAT testing for new systems or enhancements related to treasury and investment modules.

 Coordinate with Treasury Front Office, Finance, Risk, and Compliance to ensure smooth investment operations.
