The Epic Orders Application Analyst acts as a vital link between operations and information technology, ensuring that Epic functions seamlessly. This role demands an understanding of healthcare processes and technical systems. Analysts must translate operational needs into system functionality. By doing so, they help maintain system integrity, promote automation and efficiency, and improve user experience across the organization. A significant portion of an analyst&rsquo;s day is devoted to resolving break-fix issues and performing routine maintenance tasks. These activities include troubleshooting issues, applying Epic quarterly updates, working with Epic technical support, and validating workflows to prevent disruptions or follow-up, which also includes support of complementary workflows. Much of the coordination and follow-up for these responsibilities is conducted through structured communication channels, including email, Teams chat, and scheduled meetings. 
 
Epic application analysts also spend time collaborating with cross-functional teams. Console Operator Responsibilities:<ul><li>

Managing hospital emergency lines by leveraging hospital emergency procedures, notifying the necessary medical or non-medical emergency response teams, as well as local authorities when appropriate, and ensuring all documentation is completed thoroughly and accurately.</li><li>
Understanding and communicating after-hour emergency on-call schedules for hospital departments as requested by medical staff.</li><li>
Acting as a gatekeeper to screen calls for hospital leadership and staff members.</li><li>
Handling calls for dedicated marketing campaigns, answering caller questions and/or scheduling a return call for our Baptist Care Coordination team.</li><li>
Assisting patients and staff members with making long-distance calls.</li><li>
Operating communication systems such as telephone, switchboard console, intercom, Cortext, Vocera, or paging systems.</li><li>

Baptist Health is hiring an Infection Prevention Specialist. This is a full-time, in-person opportunity located at Baptist South.
The role demonstrates knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) through certification and applies their knowledge and experience to guide practice while learning more advanced concepts. The position is responsible for collaborating to develop, implement and sustain effective IPC strategies.
Leadership: Implements and monitors IPC program and practices. Collaborates to align IPC program goals with organizational goals. Provides mentorship to IPs and seeks mentorship from experienced IPs. Infection Prevention &amp; Control Operations: Applies epidemiologic principles and uses appropriate benchmarks. Evaluates the significance of surveillance and investigational findings to make recommendations for improvement. Evaluates the effectiveness of surveillance plans and modifies as necessary.
