You will handle all phases of litigation, from initial claim evaluation through resolution, working alongside seasoned partners in a collaborative and mentorship-focused environment.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage a diverse caseload of litigated workers&rsquo; compensation and insurance defense matters.</li><li>Conduct depositions, represent clients at hearings, and attend mediations.</li><li>Draft persuasive pleadings, motions, and comprehensive legal evaluations.</li><li>Analyze medical records and translate complex medical terminology into effective legal strategy.</li><li>Maintain regular, high-level communication with clients and insurers.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Education/Bar: Juris Doctor (JD) and active member in good standing with the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA). Admission to the Alaska, Oregon, or California Bar is a plus.</li><li>Experience: 1&ndash;3 years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience. Prior experience in maritime law or workers' compensation is preferred but not required.</li><li>Skills: A basic understanding of medical terminology is preferred. Exceptional research, writing, and oral advocacy skills are essential.</li><li>Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in legal research tools (Westlaw/LexisNexis) and case management software.</li></ul>Compensation &amp; Benefits<ul><li>Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 per year (Determined by experience and qualifications).</li><li>Bonuses: Eligible for annual performance-based and billable hour bonuses.</li><li>Health &amp; Wellness: Comprehensive Medical and Dental insurance.</li><li>Retirement: Simple retirement plan with firm match.</li><li>Professional Growth: Firm-paid WSBA dues, CLE allowance, and dedicated mentorship programs.</li></ul>Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li></ul>Work Location: In person
