This Overhead Crew Foreman position is responsible for managing assigned crew personnel to ensure their actions align with company goals during the execution phase at the field level. This Crew Foreman will be responsible for supervising field personnel for Overhead Transmission/Distribution Construction and on electrical facilities in a safe, productive manner with attention to quality and provides timely, cost effective and reliable service to customers.General Responsibilities:<ul><li>Responsible for the completion of assigned tasks and jobs</li><li>Responsible for the safety and quality on assigned jobs and tasks</li><li>Supervise the work of all crew members.</li><li>Maintain the proper care of company equipment and tools assigned to crew.</li><li>Assume the responsibility for the crew.</li><li>Employee in Charge on assigned jobsites. May be assigned as Employee in Charge when multiple crews are present on a jobsite as needed.</li><li>Responsible for conducting Pre-job briefs for assigned crew and others onsite. Discussing all know job hazards, mitigation and plan to execute assigned job or tasks.</li><li>Responsible for reporting crew availability in a timely manner during storm events as single point of contact for Bay Line Management</li><li>May be requested to lead storm restoration efforts both locally and out of town.</li><li>Responsible for coordination when designated as single point of contact during storm events to provide crew availability, coordinate equipment and logistics.</li><li>Responsible for the application of safe working practices on the job in compliance with the Company&rsquo;s safety rules and trains and develops safety awareness on the part of subordinates.</li><li>Supervise, direct and monitor assigned workforce activities</li><li>Analyze work packages to establish and coordinate project requirements with Bay Line Management to make appropriate contacts, hold-offs, arrange for tools and equipment etc. and works with customers, internal and external, to satisfy expectations; resolves customer issues and builds constructive relationships.</li><li>Provide customer/client satisfaction by applying cost effective work practices to ensure job quality and reliability.</li><li>Supervise, prioritize and schedule resources to effectively utilize and to meet customer/client requirements during normal operations and storm emergencies.</li><li>Communicate safe work plans, company policies and expectations to subordinates.</li><li>Lead, train, motivate, coach and counsel employees to meet the expectations of their positions.</li><li>Coaching, counseling and correcting unsafe behaviors of assigned crew members.</li><li>Provide direct supervision and technical guidance to assigned Lineman, Apprentices and Groundmen</li><li>Assist General Foreman with the advancement, transfer, conflict resolution, discipline and dismissal of assigned employees.</li><li>Communicates performance evaluations and recommends the approval or denial of merit raises for subordinates to General Foreman</li><li>Communicate/coordinate job progress with Bay Line Management for work scheduling</li><li>Assure the timely completion of all administrative processes, such as, crew time sheets, &amp; Time &amp; Labor, Reports, etc.</li><li>Resolve engineering design, field barriers and delays to meet schedule.</li><li>Complete jobsite walk downs meetings with engineering, construction personnel and customers.</li><li>Monitor project safety and perform weekly safety audits, verify job briefings and safety tailgates.</li><li>Participate in required Project Meetings as needed</li><li>Conduct or participate in incident/safety investigations.</li><li>Participate in Safety Meetings</li><li>Communicate Safety Alerts to assigned crew members.</li><li>Communicate Company Policies and Information Rollouts to assigned crew members.</li><li>Assist Safety and Compliance Manager with completion of Training Requirements for assigned crew members.</li></ul>Direct Responsibilities in Work Flow Process:<ul><li>Weekly: Complete crew timesheets to ensure proper charges for job/work orders, labor and equipment. Work with General Foreman to ensure charges and payroll are correct.</li><li>Daily: Responsible for relaying information and changes from General Foreman and Operations Manager to crew members to maximize efficiency across all groups.</li><li>Receive work order/job packets from Operation Manager:</li><li>Perform jobsite walkdown prior to execution and discuss with assigned crew.</li><li>Identify and communicate Safety Concerns or Hazards to appropriate parties and act as liaison to mitigate the hazards.</li><li>Coordinate Scheduling Job/Project with General Foreman</li><li>Provide General Foreman daily/weekly updates on progress of construction as needed.</li><li>Act as liaison between Project or Operations Manager and work groups required to execute project schedule, control project scope, manage dollars, and materials management.</li><li>Report Change Order Requests to General Foreman and assist with Change Order Creation regarding schedule and scope associated with change orders.</li><li>Perform QA/QC of work performed by assigned crews before leaving the jobsite.</li><li>Participate in Project Progress Calls as needed</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>3+ years of Journeyman Classification Experience</li><li>Proficiency with electrical distribution systems</li><li>Demonstrated expertise/knowledge of energized and deenergized facilities; switching and tagging procedures; knowledge of training, clearances and working space requirements.</li><li>Basic electric theory, identify and analyze trouble in electrical circuits, print reading and moderate computer skills used in the linemen trade and office applications software.</li><li>Thorough knowledge of safety rules/regulations, energy control process, company policies, and work practices</li><li>Experience with leadership and teamwork skills, communication skills both oral and written.</li><li>A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.</li><li>General understanding of relevant technology, such as tablets, email and excel.</li></ul>Physical Qualifications<ul><li>The employee is required to sit; frequently climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl.</li><li>This employee must frequently lift and/or maneuver up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or maneuver up to 75 pounds.</li><li>Work is primarily performed outdoors so physical exposure to often extreme weather conditions, animals and insects and other outdoor hazards is unavoidable and required</li><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.</li><li>Work is primarily performed outdoors so physical exposure to often extreme weather conditions, animals and insects and other outdoor hazards is unavoidable and required</li><li>color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.</li></ul>Salary &amp; Benefits<ul><li>This is an hourly position with overtime opportunities.</li><li>Benefit coverages and limits will be issued per Company policy</li><li>Overtime will be paid according to our Overtime policy at either time and half or double time depending on the applicable scenario.</li><li>This position will be provided with a take home vehicle to be used per the Company Vehicle Policy</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance</li><li>Company Paid Life Insurance w/ additional Voluntary Life Insurance</li><li>401K w/ company match</li><li>Paid Vacation</li><li>Uniforms and PPE Provided</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $58.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>High school or equivalent (Preferred)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Electrical line construction: 4 years (Required)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>Driver's License (Required)</li><li>CDL A (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Georgetown, DE 19947: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: On the road
