Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Temp Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our manufacturing and construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your welding, fabrication, and fitting expertise in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and possess a strong mechanical aptitude to contribute to high-quality assembly and fabrication tasks on construction sites and manufacturing facilities. This position is temporary but provides valuable hands-on experience in a variety of welding techniques and fabrication processes, ensuring safety, precision, and efficiency at every step.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques on a variety of metals and structures.</li><li>Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components, equipment, and structural elements.</li><li>Inspect equipment and structures to identify damage, wear, and required repairs</li><li>Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings</li><li>Cut, shape, and prepare metal materials using appropriate tools and equipment</li><li>Ensure all welding and fabrication work meets safety standards and quality specifications</li><li>Maintain and repair fences, gates, railings, piping systems, and structural frameworks</li><li>Operate and maintain welding equipment, tools, and fabrication machinery</li><li>Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and fire prevention procedures</li><li>Support general maintenance activities as needed to ensure facility functionality</li><li>All other duties as assigned</li></ul>Education and Experience<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred</li><li>At least 3 years&rsquo; welding experience</li><li>Welding certification preferred but not required</li></ul>Required Skills/ Abilities<ul><li>Proven experience as a welder or fabricator in a maintenance, industrial, or similar environment.</li><li>Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding techniques</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings</li><li>Strong knowledge of metal properties, fabrication methods, and welding standards</li><li>Experience operating cutting tools, grinders, and fabrication equipment</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage time effectively</li><li>Strong understanding of workplace safety standards and procedures</li></ul>Physical Requirements<ul><li>Proof of measles vaccination or updated titers prior to initial contact with animals.</li><li>Current results of TB testing or be tested prior to initial contact with animals. Annual tuberculosis screening is required of all employees.</li><li>Employees may occasionally need to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.</li><li>Ability to operate facility equipment.</li><li>Required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment in each area as described by SOPs.</li><li>Has the ability to withstand ambient temperatures which may exceed 90&deg;F.</li><li>Personnel must be able to carry out the essential functions of this position with reasonable accommodation if disabled.</li></ul>Environmental Working Conditions<ul><li>Potential exposure to disinfectants, chemicals, biologics, infectious agents, animal dander, and dust.</li><li>Normal scientific laboratory conditions may work with hazardous material and unpleasant odors.</li></ul>Pay: From $24.00 per hourWork Location: In person
