You and the role
The Purchaser supports all procurement operations within BENTEC&rsquo;s Supply Chain Management (SCM) function. The role requires a proactive, fast-acting, accurate and solutions-driven professional who manages the full procurement cycle &mdash; from RFQ issuance, supplier qualification and benchmarking, up to PO placement, logistics coordination, import/export control and compliance with national and internal regulations (incl. ICV, SCM Policies &amp; Procedures). This position is essential for ensuring safe, efficient, cost-effective and uninterrupted operations for all BENTEC projects in MENA. 
Primary responsibilities
Procurement Operations
Manage the full purchasing cycle from RFQ technical/quality/price analysis negotiation<ul><li> PO issuance in SAP.</li><li>
Source, evaluate and qualify suppliers in alignment with SCM governance, localization requirements, and<ul><li>
BENTEC standards.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with all SCM procedures, DOA, procurement policies and ICV regulations.</li><li>
Execute urgent and ad-hoc requests with accuracy, speed and full documentation.</li><li>
Coordinate with Engineering, Workshop, Projects, QHSE and Finance to ensure complete and correct technical data</li><li>
Before PO submission.</li><li>
Maintain an up-to-date vendor database and ensure all supplier documentation meets BENTEC standards.</li></ul></li></ul>
Logistics &amp; Import/Export<ul><li>
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with local and international freight forwarders.</li><li>
Ensure full compliance with MENA customs regulations.</li><li>
Follow up on shipments proactively, ensuring on-time delivery to support rig operations, repair, and overhaul</li><li>
Schedules.</li></ul>
 Supplier Management<ul><li>
Manage daily supplier interactions, build strong relationships, and maintain strict follow-up on delivery commitments.</li><li>
Track vendor performance: OTIF, price accuracy, quality of materials, documentation compliance.</li><li>
Escalate risks early and propose mitigation actions.</li></ul>
 Internal Collaboration<ul><li>
Work daily with Operations, Engineering, Workshop teams, Finance and HSSET.</li><li>
Ensure clear, concise and professional communication in English always.</li><li>
Support the BU in delivering cost savings, localization, contract compliance and operational excellence.</li></ul>
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)<ul><li>
On-time PO issuance.</li><li>
On-time delivery from vendors (OTIF).</li><li>
Cost savings and value engineering initiatives.</li><li>
Accuracy of documentation and compliance with SCM procedures.</li><li>
Vendor performance improvement and localization achievements.</li><li>
Internal stakeholder satisfaction.</li></ul> 
Experience<ul><li>
Strong knowledge of MENA local market, suppliers, and industrial landscape.</li><li>
Fluency in English (written &amp; spoken) is mandatory.</li><li>
Hands-on knowledge of logistics, imports, exports, customs, documentation and delivery follow-up.</li><li>
High level understanding of ABC compliance, API, PDO/Aramco, ISO standards, SCM governance, vendor qualification, ICV, and supply chain risk principles.</li><li>
Previous procurement experience in oil &amp; gas, drilling, energy, EPC or heavy industrial sectors.</li><li>
Experience in international purchasing and logistics.</li><li>
Strong vendor network within MENA is highly preferred.</li><li>
Procurement experience in oil &amp; gas, drilling, engineering, fabrication, or heavy industry.</li><li>
Proficiency in SAP, SAP Ariba, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, PDF workflows</li></ul>
