Our company is growing! We are looking to add a Senior Accountant to join our team! The Senior Accountant reports to the Vice President and is responsible for, but not limited to, maintaining the day-to-day accounting functions, accruals, financial statement preparation, and performing general accounting functions, as required.Major Duties &amp; Responsibilities:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.<ul><li>All aspects of business accounting &ndash; Research, analysis, reporting, bookkeeping, AR, AP, general ledger, administration of quarterly business and payroll taxes, interface with CPA firm, and external audits.</li><li>Banking - multiple bank deposits, loan tracking, reporting and interfacing with banking authorities.</li><li>Reconcile all balance sheet accounts; reviewing for input accuracy and prepare monthly reports and journal entries, as needed</li><li>Maintain required business documents</li><li>Prepare annual W-2 &amp; 1099&rsquo;s</li><li>Direct dealings with insurance company &ndash; vehicles, equipment, building, worker&rsquo;s comp; claims and payment.</li><li>Assistance with the annual budget</li><li>Compile annual reports required for CPA</li><li>Maintain financial document retention files</li><li>Deposit and cash reports</li><li>Prepare and/or review of all expense reports for accuracy and proper expense disclosure</li><li>Manage filing, maintaining, renewing and reporting requirements of all business licensing in various states</li><li>Perform other related duties as may be requested by the President or Vice President</li><li>Monthly sales tax reporting</li><li>Aid in the collections process</li><li>Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, or maintain solutions to business and financial problems.</li></ul>Position Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting or Business Management</li><li>Proficient in accounting software (3 years minimum experience)</li><li>Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles</li><li>3-5 years Full Charge Bookkeeping experience</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office</li><li>Self-Starter</li><li>Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment</li><li>Highly organized and detail oriented</li><li>Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Thrives in a collaborative, team-based office environment</li><li>Ability to interface well with staff and external contacts of the Authority</li><li>Proven ability to maintain confidentiality</li><li>Strong organizational skills</li></ul>Certifications &amp; License Requirements:<ul><li>Ability and willingness to obtain licensing through organizations as needed for individual standards as well as company regulations</li><li>Bookkeeping / Accounting</li></ul>Equipment Used: <ul><li>Use computers for various applications, such as database management, word processing and spreadsheet development</li><li>Set up and manage paper or electronic filing systems, recording information, updating paperwork, or maintaining documents</li><li>Other basic office equipment: photocopier, printer, phone system, etc.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Full Charge Bookkeeping: 3 years (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Maple Plain, MN 55359 (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
