Our company is growing! We are looking to add a Senior Accountant to join our team! The Senior Accountant reports to the Vice President and is responsible for, but not limited to, maintaining the day-to-day accounting functions, accruals, financial statement preparation, and performing general accounting functions, as required.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:

- All aspects of business accounting – Research, analysis, reporting, bookkeeping, AR, AP, general ledger, administration of quarterly business and payroll taxes, interface with CPA firm, and external audits.
- Banking - multiple bank deposits, loan tracking, reporting and interfacing with banking authorities.
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts; reviewing for input accuracy and prepare monthly reports and journal entries, as needed
- Maintain required business documents
- Prepare annual W-2 & 1099’s
- Direct dealings with insurance company – vehicles, equipment, building, worker’s comp; claims and payment.
- Assistance with the annual budget
- Compile annual reports required for CPA
- Maintain financial document retention files
- Deposit and cash reports
- Prepare and/or review of all expense reports for accuracy and proper expense disclosure
- Manage filing, maintaining, renewing and reporting requirements of all business licensing in various states
- Perform other related duties as may be requested by the President or Vice President
- Monthly sales tax reporting
- Aid in the collections process
- Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, or maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Management
- Proficient in accounting software (3 years minimum experience)
- Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- 3-5 years Full Charge Bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Self-Starter
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Thrives in a collaborative, team-based office environment
- Ability to interface well with staff and external contacts of the Authority
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills
Certifications & License Requirements:
- Ability and willingness to obtain licensing through organizations as needed for individual standards as well as company regulations
- Bookkeeping / Accounting
Equipment Used:
- Use computers for various applications, such as database management, word processing and spreadsheet development
- Set up and manage paper or electronic filing systems, recording information, updating paperwork, or maintaining documents
- Other basic office equipment: photocopier, printer, phone system, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
