You&rsquo;ll be the on-site accounting lead &mdash; the person who owns the financial function from top to bottom. But it goes beyond the numbers. As a key member of a lean, close-knit team, you&rsquo;ll have a real seat at the table, contributing to operational strategy and partnering closely with leadership to help drive the company forward. You&rsquo;ll have the support of an offshore AP coordinator and an incoming offshore accounting assistant, but the day-to-day decisions, the process improvements, and the financial integrity of the business? If you&rsquo;re the type who thrives with autonomy, gets energized by bringing order to complexity, and wants to actually see the impact of your work &mdash; this is the role for you.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable<ul><li>Process high-volume accounts payable transactions with accuracy and efficiency</li><li>Review, code, and approve vendor invoices for payment</li><li>Maintain vendor files and resolve payment discrepancies</li><li>Coordinate with unit managers and vendors to address billing issues</li></ul>Accounts Receivable<ul><li>Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and collections</li><li>Monitor aging reports and follow up on past due accounts</li><li>Process customer payments and maintain accurate customer records</li><li>Coordinate with sales and operations teams regarding billing matters</li></ul>Payroll Administration<ul><li>Process bi-weekly payroll for under 10 employees</li><li>Maintain employee payroll records and handle payroll-related inquiries</li><li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations</li><li>Coordinate with leadership on new hires, terminations, and compensation changes</li></ul>Financial Reconciliation &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Perform monthly bank reconciliations and account reconciliations for multiple accounts</li><li>Prepare and post journal entries as needed</li><li>Manage month-end and year-end closing procedures</li><li>Prepare and manage budgets, including variance analysis</li><li>Present financial results to leadership with forward-looking insights and strategic recommendations to support company growth</li></ul>Process &amp; Strategy<ul><li>Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement scalable solutions</li><li>Maintain organized, accurate financial records and documentation</li><li>Handle special projects as assigned and bring fresh thinking to the table</li></ul>What We're Looking ForRequired<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)</li><li>Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in property management or real estate</li><li>Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online including payroll processing</li><li>Solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles</li><li>Experience managing high-volume AP and AR</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Office Suite, and Google Workspace</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through</li><li>Self-starter mentality &mdash; you don&rsquo;t wait to be told what to do</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Comfortable working independently and managing competing priorities</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience with CodeOne Portal software</li><li>Background in corporate housing or property management</li><li>Knowledge of California employment and payroll regulations</li><li>Track record of improving accounting processes or stepping into a lean environment and making it better</li></ul>What's In It For YouThis is a genuine opportunity to make your mark.
