This position is central to ensuring a welcoming, professional, and seamless experience for all guests from arrival through departure.Position OverviewThe Guest Services Representative is responsible for greeting and registering guests, assigning rooms, accommodating special requests, and facilitating smooth check-outs. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner in all interactions.Responsibilities<ul><li>Maintain accurate records of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.</li><li>Register guests, assign rooms, and process check-ins and check-outs.</li><li>Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance regarding room status, special requests, and service needs.</li><li>Apply selling techniques to promote rooms and hotel services.</li><li>Remain informed of daily hotel activities and scheduled events.</li><li>Address guest concerns and resolve issues professionally and efficiently.</li><li>Handle monetary transactions accurately in accordance with hotel policies.</li><li>Uphold guest confidentiality and security standards.</li><li>Maintain professional appearance, demeanour, and work habits.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by management.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>Prior hotel or hospitality experience preferred.</li><li>Strong communication skills with guests, colleagues, and management.</li><li>Ability to follow credit, cash handling, and guest privacy procedures.</li><li>Capable of learning and adhering to safety and emergency protocols.</li><li>Comfortable with front office systems and standard office equipment.</li><li>Knowledge of proper telephone etiquette.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Weekend availability is required.</li><li>Ability to work holidays and additional shifts as needed.</li><li>Reliable transportation and ability to commute to La Crescent, MN 55947 (or willingness to relocate).</li></ul>Schedule &amp; Compensation<ul><li>Part-time position.</li><li>Standard shift: 3:00 PM &ndash; 11:00 PM.</li><li>8-hour day shifts.</li><li>Starting from $15.50 per hour.</li></ul>Additional Details<ul><li>Job Type: Part-time.</li><li>Experience: At least one year in customer service required; administrative/reception experience preferred.</li><li>Work Location: One location.</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: From $15.50 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li></ul>Shift availability:<ul><li>Day Shift (Required)</li><li>Night Shift (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>La Crescent, MN 55947 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>La Crescent, MN 55947: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
