Assistant Pastry Chef

This is a full-time, on-site role at Biblo Bakery &amp; Cafe in Bahrain.We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bakery and coffee shop. The Operations Manager will ensure exceptional customer service, efficient operations, and a welcoming environment while driving sales and maintaining high standards of quality. A passion for baking and coffee, along with leadership skills, is essential. Prior baking experience is a plus but not required.Key Responsibilities:1- Operational Management:<ul><li>Oversee daily operations, including inventory management, staff scheduling, and compliance with health and safety regulations.</li><li>Ensure the bakery and coffee shop maintain a clean, organized, and inviting atmosphere.</li><li>Monitor and maintain equipment, coordinating repairs or maintenance as needed.</li></ul>2- Customer Service:<ul><li>Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.</li><li>Train staff to uphold high standards of customer engagement and satisfaction.</li></ul>3- Team Leadership:<ul><li>Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate a team of baristas, bakers, and support staff.</li><li>Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement development plans.</li><li>Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.</li></ul>4- Financial Management:<ul><li>Manage budgets, control costs, and maximize profitability while maintaining quality.</li><li>Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and implement strategies to meet revenue targets.</li><li>Handle cash flow, daily sales reports, and financial reconciliations.</li></ul>5- Product Quality and Innovation:<ul><li>Ensure consistent quality of baked goods, coffee, and other menu items.</li><li>Collaborate with bakers and baristas to develop new menu items or seasonal specials.</li><li>If experienced in baking, contribute to recipe development and production as needed.</li></ul>6- Marketing and Community Engagement:<ul><li>Promote the bakery and coffee shop through local marketing initiatives, social media, and community events.</li><li>Build relationships with customers and local businesses to enhance brand loyalty.</li></ul>7- Inventory and Vendor Management:<ul><li>Manage inventory levels for ingredients, supplies, and retail products.</li><li>Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and quality control</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Must be currently available in Bahrain.</li><li>Proven experience (5+ years) in a managerial role, preferably in a bakery, coffee shop, or food and beverage setting.</li><li>Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.</li><li>Excellent customer service and communication skills.</li><li>Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.</li><li>Financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and sales analysis.</li><li>Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and basic computer skills.</li><li>Passion for coffee, baked goods, and creating a welcoming customer experience.</li><li>Baking Experience (Preferred): Hands-on experience in baking or pastry production is a plus but not mandatory.</li><li>Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.</li></ul>Education:High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree or certification in hospitality, business management, or culinary arts is a plus.Job Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person
