Our goal is to help businesses grow online through custom strategies built for real, measurable results.Position OverviewWe are seeking a creative and technically capable Web / UX Designer &amp; Developer&mdash;someone who can both design and build functional, production-ready websites. This role requires hands-on experience developing sites, implementing features, and extending functionality, primarily within WordPress.This is a part-time, project-based position with the potential to grow into a full-time, in-house role. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented self-starter who enjoys solving problems through design and technology and can balance creativity with technical execution.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Collaborating and planning through official channels (Wrike, Slack, Google Drive, Google Workspace, Airtable, GatherContent, Monday.com, and others)</li><li>Working with the Project Manager to schedule and prioritize creative and technical tasks</li><li>Collaborating with clients to gather requirements, manage expectations, and provide progress updates</li><li>Designing and developing websites from concept through launch, including UX, layout, and structure</li><li>Installing, configuring, and customizing WordPress themes, plugins, and web applications (eCommerce, event calendars, directories, etc.)</li><li>Building, extending, and maintaining site functionality, including custom features and integrations</li><li>Optimizing, debugging, and maintaining front-end code (HTML, CSS, and related technologies)</li><li>Ensuring responsive behavior across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices</li><li>Performing speed, performance, and usability testing and optimization</li><li>Applying SEO best practices during design and development</li><li>Presenting design and functional solutions to clients and incorporating feedback</li><li>Collaborating with designers, developers, copywriters, and project managers</li><li>Ensuring all work aligns with agency standards for branding, accessibility, performance, and security</li></ul>Skills &amp; Experience<ul><li>Minimum of 2 years experience in Web / UX Design</li><li>Experience developing with WordPress</li><li>Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and front-end best practices</li><li>Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)</li><li>Strong time management and organizational skills</li></ul>Bonus Skills &amp; Experience(Not required, but a strong plus and willingness to learn is essential)<ul><li>WordPress theme development and customization</li><li>Understanding of WordPress databases and dynamic content</li><li>Accessibility best practices (ADA compliance)</li><li>Data privacy and security fundamentals (GDPR)</li><li>Website speed and performance optimization</li><li>On-site SEO and structured data (schema markup)</li><li>SFTP and file management</li><li>Content marketing and branding principles</li><li>Project management and leadership skills</li></ul>Job Requirements<ul><li>Flexible, teachable, and comfortable working within established workflows</li><li>Professional and confident when communicating directly with clients</li><li>Proactive, accountable, and willing to take ownership of projects</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li><li>Prompt and responsive with clients and internal team members</li></ul>Job Types: Part-time, Contract, InternshipPay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hourExpected hours: 20 &ndash; 30 per weekApplication Question(s):<ul><li>Are you located in Memphis, TN or within a 20 min drive?</li></ul>Location:<ul><li>Memphis, TN 38111 (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
