We are a growing, design-driven interior design studio seeking a part-time Studio Assistant / Junior Designer to support residential projects from design development through execution. Looking for a highly organized, proactive candidate.This role combines design support + project coordination. You will assist in sourcing, sample management, presentations, and overall project organization while helping ensure projects move forward smoothly.You will work directly with the Principal Designer and play a key role in both the creative and execution phases of projects.RESPONSIBILITIESDesign Development Support<ul><li>Source materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures</li><li>Order and track samples (fabric, stone, tile, etc.)</li><li>Organize and prepare samples for client presentations</li><li>Assist in creating mood boards and presentation decks</li><li>Support design research and vendor outreach</li></ul>Project Coordination<ul><li>Track procurement (orders, deliveries, timelines)</li><li>Manage vendor communication and follow-ups</li><li>Coordinate scheduling (clients, site visits, installations)</li><li>Organize drawings, presentations, and project files</li><li>Maintain spreadsheets and project trackers</li><li>Assist during installation days (as needed)</li></ul>REQUIREMENTS<ul><li>Background in interior design or architecture</li><li>Strong eye for design and materials</li><li>Highly organized and detail-oriented</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines</li><li>Proactive you take initiative, not just direction</li><li>Strong communication skills (email + phone)</li><li>Comfortable with Google Drive, spreadsheets, and presentations</li><li>Based near Silver Spring for occasional in-person work</li></ul>BONUS (PREFERRED)<ul><li>Experience sourcing materials or working with vendors</li><li>Familiarity with AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe InDesign</li><li>Prior experience in a design studio</li></ul>WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR<ul><li>A junior designer who wants real, hands-on experience</li><li>Someone who enjoys both design + organization</li><li>Someone who likes being involved in the details that bring a project to life</li><li>Someone who wants to grow with a studio</li></ul>GROWTH OPPORTUNITYThis role has strong potential to grow into a full-time Designer position as the studio expands.HOW TO APPLYPlease submit:<ul><li>Resume</li><li>Brief note about why this role fits you</li><li>(Optional) Portfolio or sample work</li></ul>Pay: $25.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li></ul>Work Location: In person
