Job Summary:Inspects final products and tooling to ensure compliance with order specifications.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Inspect and test product and tooling to ensure conformance.</li><li>SPC/Data collection; product certifications.</li><li>Determine product acceptance.</li><li>Initiate Supplier rejection reports (nonconformance reports/NCRs)</li><li>Follow work instructions, control plans as appropriate, notify supervisor of any changes.</li><li>Provide input for continuous improvement</li><li>Participate and fulfill appropriate responsibilities as defined in the ISO/QS Management System manuals.</li><li>Cross Training in this role and transfer between the 1200 and 1400 Buildings required as necessary.</li><li>Supports R&amp;D as needed</li></ul>Limits of Authority:<ul><li>Reject materials that do not meet quality standards</li><li>Place nonconforming product/tooling on hold</li></ul>Qualifications Required:<ul><li>High School Diploma / G.E.D preferred</li></ul>Experience Required:<ul><li>One year mechanical inspection or previous product knowledge</li><li>Manufacturing experience preferred</li></ul>Knowledge/Skills Required:<ul><li>Knowledge of production processes</li><li>Read, write and speak English(Bilingual is a plus)</li><li>Proficiency in basic math, APQP and /or other appropriate skills as defined in the QMS/EMS/LMS Management System manuals</li><li>Ability to use measuring gages; read prints</li><li>Ability to determine acceptance by using drawings and instructions</li><li>Communicate well with others</li></ul>Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 1st shift 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and 2nd shift 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm.
